A banana fight at a Pittsburgh gas station quickly led to an arrest and a hospitalization.
It’s unclear why, but on Monday night, a man threw a banana at “employees” of a Sunoco.
“Court documents say several bananas were thrown back and forth between the man and the employees,” WPXI reports.
Then the man, a customer, dropped his bananas and punched one of the employees in the face.
Sunoco employee Yubaraj Budhathoki, 26, responded by chasing the guy out of the store and into the parking lot where he hit him in the head with a PVC pipe.
WTAE reports that the customer ran away but was apprehended by police who took him to an area hospital where he’s currently in critical condition. It’s unclear if he will face charges.
Budhathoki was arrested on charges of aggravated assault and recklessly endangering another person.
