There was a women’s bike race in Illinois on Sunday, and the competitors who finished first and second were both born guys.
Tessa Johnson, 25, came in first at the Illinois State Cyclocross Championships, while 30-year-old Evelyn Williamson placed second.
The third place winner was Kristin Chalmers, a biological female. They gave her $100.
There was also a race in October that they placed first and second in, and they appear to be virtually unstoppable when teamed up against other women.
A team of two males — Evelyn Williamson and Tessa (Michael) Johnson — won the Illinois state women’s championship title last week in the Madison (a relay type race) at @edrudolphvelo in Northbrook.

According to the NY Post, Johnson didn’t fare that well competing against men. “Williamson, meanwhile, has been racing in the women’s category since at least 2017, earning 18 titles,” the outlet writes.

The recent victories have sparked a flurry of criticism, which is kind of not surprising at all, given that men are bigger, stronger and faster.

Two of the more famous people to comment included Piers Morgan and Megyn Kelly.
“It’s so outrageous. Why aren’t more women standing up against this assault on their rights?” wrote Piers Morgan. “Infuriating,” wrote Megyn Kelly.
Other people also said things.
“The future we’re heading for is one where no women are playing in women’s sports,” wrote @DiscoMephisto.
“Stop overpaying on Amazon Prime Day! This Amazon shopping hack is —” shit, sorry, that was an ad.
