A Walmart customer shopping at a store in Locust, North Carolina bent over for some items and accidentally discharged their gun, WBTV first reported.

According to a Facebook post by the Locust Police Department, the incident took place at about 8:25 p.m. on Saturday, when officers arrived to “immediately confront the possible threat which also involved them ordering individuals who were trying to enter the store to leave.”

The post continues: “Upon investigation, it was discovered that a customer was grocery shopping and when they bent over to grab items, a revolver they were carrying fell out of their holster to the floor causing the firearm to discharge into the ceiling of the business. No persons were injured as a result of the discharge with the only property damage being to the business.”

The unnamed suspect is expected to be slapped with charges of negligent discharge, police say.

“I was at that Walmart on Saturday morning,” one Reddit user wrote. “There’s little to no crime in that town, but you will see people at Walmart armed as if they’re in the Wild West. Pretty weird imo.”
