A police dog found ten pounds of meth inside a box of dog treats.
It happened earlier this month during a traffic stop in Petaluma, CA.
“During the traffic stop, the deputy learned the driver had a misdemeanor arrest warrant out of Mendocino County and was told there was a methamphetamine pipe in the vehicle,” the Sonoma County Sheriff shared in a Facebook post.
The deputy and his K9 then “conducted a sniff” and found dog treat boxes containing “ten packages (one-pound each) of methamphetamine.”
Angelina Gutierrez, 41, was arrested on charges of transportation of a controlled substance, but her “bail was $0 and she was later released from custody.”
“Good boy! It’s probably best that the K-9 officer doesn’t know what became of all his great work! I wonder how bad the Deputy must feel,” one person wrote in the comments.
