Red-lipped Batfish

Guar

These bulky bovines found in India and Southeast Asia are the world’s largest wild cattle, with shoulders standing a towering 7 feet high. It’s impossible to miss their muscular bodies and the striking bulge in the middle!
Shoebill Stork
The Shoebill Stork gets its name from its enormous shoe-shaped beak. Native to East Africa, this bird’s overgrown bill helps it scoop up fish. It’s like a bird with a built-in fishing net. Neat, huh?
Blobfish
This gelatinous goo-ball hailing from the deep seas of Australia and New Zealand has been dubbed the “world’s ugliest animal”. It’s more jelly than fish and spends its life loafing around at depths of 600 to 1,200 meters. Talk about a deep-sea diva!
Echidna
Meet Australia’s spiky little surprise! The Echidna, also known as the spiny anteater, is a peculiar mix of porcupine, ant-eater, and kangaroo (it’s a mammal that lays eggs!). With its body covered in spikes and a long, sticky tongue, the Echidna is an animal that marches to its own drum.
Aye-Aye
A creature of nightmares, the Aye-Aye from Madagascar looks like a cross between a rat and a goblin. Its wiry hair, eerie yellow eyes, and long, skeletal middle finger used for tapping trees for grubs make it a critter you wouldn’t want to meet in a dark alley.
Axolotl
These Mexican walking fish are real heart-stealers with their feathery gills and perpetual “smiles”. Axolotls, the Peter Pans of the animal kingdom, never undergo a full metamorphosis, spending their entire lives in water. Cute, cool, and forever young!
Babirusas
What’s weirder than a pig? A pig with twisted tusks growing through its snout! Babirusas from Indonesia are unique members of the pig family, sporting a dental arrangement that would give any orthodontist a nightmare.

Pangolin
