According to an exclusive report by the New York Post, there are a lot of whores in Los Angeles right now, and they’re aggressively marketing their services at all times of day and for very little.
It’s a forty-block stretch in South LA where the prostitutes are concentrating, the publication notes, while attributing this explosion of whores to Governor Gavin Newsom’s Safer Streets for All Act, which makes it difficult to arrest people for doing this.
The legislation, which took effect on January 1, 2023, was designed to “help to protect all people from discriminatory arrests and harassment based on how they dress or their profession,” and specifically repeals “a law that criminalizes loitering for the intent to engage in sex work.”

More hooking seems like the obvious result of this bill. It was actually initiated by a group called DecrimSexWork CA Coalition, which wants to end human trafficking while also legalizing prostitution. Maybe they should focus on one?
“Now you can drive by at 2 pm and see it. Families drive by and see 10 girls on the corner, condoms on the ground,” one source told the Post. “You go by the alleys and you see a guy in the middle of the alley and a woman performing [fellatio]. And a mom and her kids have to pass by that. It’s ridiculous, all in the open broad daylight. God only knows the impact it has on those kids who have to see this.”
The Post’s report includes photos of half-naked merchants looking for business wearing “no more than thongs, G-strings and high heels in broad daylight,” selling their services for as little as $40 a pop.
It’s also gotten bad in San Diego.
Here are some videos showing the whores.
