A Chick-fil-A location in Florida is now offering drone delivery service to local customers.
Currently available for residents within a 1.2 mile radius of the Brandon/Valrico Chick-fil-A in Central Florida, the restaurant chain has partnered with Virginia-based tech company DroneUp to make this a reality at multiple locations.
Customers can use the Chick-fil-A app to choose the “drone delivery” option, at which point your food would be loaded into a cardboard box which gets attached to a drone. Once the drone arrives to your location, it lowers the box with a cable.

Drones are delivering both food and sealed drinks, and early customers seem pretty satisfied with the service. The location is currently offering free delivery for a limited time. Delivery hours are Monday-Friday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
